The earth is experiencing something that it has never experienced before. Some of her children have gone post evolution and hurting her. Human culture is evolving at an accelerated rate. While the earth is getting sicker, not all of us are indifferent to her pain but not in enough numbers. Maybe this is the way to make great cultures. Have them make mistakes and learn. The trouble is that the climate is already changing. It is not going to happen many decades later. It gets worse noticably every year. Within 10 years who knows what will happen. Suddenly the future seems very bleak.
We do not seem to be getting the message either. We are still burning petrol at an increasing rate. Even if the climate tolerates all the abuse (which it won't!), petrol is running out anyway. The capitalist economy is unable to account for the hole we are digging ourselves into. A good capitalist is a greedy and smart person with no compassion. They have infiltrated all mainstream political parties all over the world and taken total global control. Do not expect global wars for a while. Only local ones they can control. Like bush burning. Most of us love obeying the greedy bully.
But the time of reckoning is coming, soon. We can not avoid either of the above disasters. Some say it is already too late for some of the climate changes already triggered. Judging from Iraq, the future does not seem very bright. What happens if USD busts and triggers a global market crash? Many analysts expect a serious event reflecting unavoidable power shifts already happening. When you put 6.5 billion fuckheads in a fast depleting environment, you will have deep trouble soon, within a decade or two. You know what happens when there is political power vacuum. Rich assholes turn into warlords and start killing the innocent with their scum mercenaries.

Why are most people stupid?
If you have a look at the mainstream culture's few main aspects and their percentage of followers, you may be tempted to think that most people are stupid most of the time.
Look at politics. A large percentage of people vote according to politically irrelevant criteria like race, religion, looks, sex, fashion. Really relevant factors like competence, honesty, compassion don't count. All countries are ruled by the representatives of the local and global rich. All mainstream political parties are proxies of the rich. People get sucked into voting for these parties through their weaknesses, sometimes it seems knowingly. Ruling classes definitely know how to get the fools hooked. Why is it that most people are politically stupid?
Look at religion. All mainstream religions are corrupt. They have been sponsored by the ruling classes and made into political tools. This is achieved by institutionalising religion and installing bureaucracy to maintain it. They claim to have the key to the heaven's door. Why is it that most people are spiritually stupid?
Look at music. Pop chart is crap. Lack of musical intelligence?

It seems that people switch some of their capabilities off, when faced with unbeatable challengers early in life. It seems if you want a good slave then adopt him/her very young and break him/her in. Like breaking a horse. The power dynamics needed to survive the hunter/gatherer life style may have compelled humans to quickly identify the leaders and submit to them.
Then, there may be an evolutionary oppression reason for the mainstream stupidity. There would also be other reasons like not having it in the first place due to reproductory chance.
If your stupidity is due to getting switched off, but repairably, then you have a chance of a revolution if you put your mind to it. The question is; can anyone have a spiritual and intellectual revolution and be a genius, if shackles are thrown away?

A brain in this universe has to somehow create a model of the universe outside, so that it can learn to make predictions to survive in a hostile world. The intext/context duality in the brain must reflect the quantum/relativity duality. Like the Russian dolls, in fact the brain is a universe within a universe.
Energy also has a similar duality; kinetic/potential. PE reflects the arena.
A self contained entity has to create it's own reality. So it creates the content and the container. But since the universe is an entity, it has to have it's own dual, and that duality has to have have it's own dual and so on. There has to be an arena outside the universe that contains the universe, to protect the principle of causality. I believe that our universe is not the end of the story. Existence goes forever in every direction of possibility.
This duality has to have a mirror sitting in between. Brain has corpus callosum acting as a mirror. This mirror is a special mirror; it shows you your anti-self. Logic looks into it and sees emotion and emotion looks into it and sees logic. Quantum mechanics has a similar duality in its operator language. What is the mirror between quantum and relativity? Obviously the quantum/relativity duality is finely spread all over the universe, showing the homogeneous nature. Maybe the universe is not physically split. But the physical split in brain does not mean absolute functional split. One half can take over both functions but not fully. Therefore brain must also be homogeneous in its duality. Is the mirror between quantum/relativity time?

Focus/antifocus duality in human hands
Most people have a pronounced functional difference in their hands. Usually left hand takes the supporting or providing role while right hand takes the manipulating role. Left hand holds the object while right hand executes an action. This duality reflects the duality in the brain in a crosswise or swapped fashion; left focuses while right antifocuses; left analyses while right feels. Right sets the overall mood while left operates it's object.
For a minority of people these roles are swapped, sometimes even balanced. I heard that left handed people are more creative. I guess most balanced people, in whom both sides can take both roles, eventually get forced into choosing right hand since our society is mostly right handed currently.

Is our universe a brain?
Brains that I know all come in the split-in-half form. For most humans, the left brain is analytical and the right brain is emotional. The left controls the right body and the right controls the left body. Well, at least I am sure this is true for the hands and the eyes. For left handed people the roles are reversed. I have been puzzled by the split-in-half form for a long time. Why split the emotional and the analytical functions physically? The two halves are connected to each other by a thick nerve bundle called 'corpus callosum', what a sexy name!.Current cosmology is also split in two; quantum and relativity. Quantum for the very small, and relativity for the very large. Quantum describes the content, and relativity describes the context; space-time. Quantum for the discrete, relativity fot the continious. And they don't mix at the moment. The expectation is that they will eventually merge into one theory.I think these dualities are similar. The analytical (or content oriented) side is like quantum theory and the emotional (or context oriented) side is like relativity theory.There is an analogy in music as well. Rythm comes first. Then with the introduction of different colors of sound we get melody and harmony. Melody for analytical and harmony for emotional. Emotion happens at once all over, like harmony. Logic goes in steps of decision, like melody. If we trust the music analogy, then the two halves are joined by time, implying a clock mechanism in brain fed through corpus callosum. If we carry this to cosmology, then time becomes the unifying entity.The implication is that we live in the brain of a living being. If the brain is this big, then imagine the body. Maybe this kind of being would not have a body, it would control everyting by it's brain powers. Does this being live in a society of other like-minded individuals?
